Oakland's McDonald's is undergoing a dining
room and exterior facelift. The drive-thru will remain open
through construction.
Ace's Run will open later this month in the old Four
Seasons Dining Room at Will O' the Wisp condominiums.
A Tractor Supply Co. store will be constructed on Rt.
219 just north of WalMart. The store is expected to open in
September.
Crews are working at the
ASCI whitewater
course. A $1 million bond was approved for improvements at the
course including upgrading telecommunications, building new facilities
and upgrading infrastructure to prepare for the International Canoe
Federation's Deep Creek 2014 Canoe Slalom World Championships.
A mobile office has been placed on a lot on the
corner of Deep Creek Drive and Sang Run Road. The building will
serve as a real estate office for the lots atop Wisp.
Pick of the Litter Thrift Shop is open next to the HART Spay and Neuter Clinic in the McHenry Plaza.
The store will carry housewares, fashion and home accessories, gifts,
furniture, pet items, and more. All proceeds will benefit
HART for Animals.
Donations
are accepted
during store hours.
The new Dollar General store in Accident is now open.
Newman's Funeral Home is in the process of building a
new facility along Memorial Drive in Oakland.

The
foundation for the reception, vet clinic and boarding spa
has been completed at the site of an animal shelter along Bumble Bee Road. The
facility is being built and operated by the
HART for Animals organization. The center will house 60 dogs, 20
puppies, 40 cats and about 20 to 30 kittens.
