Phase
1 of the Community Aquatic &
Recreation Center (CARC) at Garrett College is now open and accepting
memberships.
Construction
continues on the Phase 2 building which will house a
gymnasium. The facility is expected to open this Spring.
An entrance has been constructed at the site of an animal shelter along Bumble Bee Road. The
facility is being built and operated by the
HART for Animals organization. The center will house 60 dogs, 20
puppies, 40 cats and about 20 to 30 kittens.
