The last section of the HART Center is underway. Daystar Builders, the selected contractor, will begin to put in the footings for the foundation and, soon, the Adoption Wing will take shape.
Arrowhead Market is replacing the gas storage tanks and gas pumps.  The market is still open during construction.
The owners of The Alley in Oakland have announced plans for a second location in McHenry adjacent to the new Dollar General Store.  A timeline for construction will be announced soon.
Construction on a $22 million expansion project at Garrett County Memorial Hospital began earlier this summer.  Massaro Construction was hired to complete the project.
 Working H Meats is now open on Rt. 42 and accepting appointments for beef, pork, lamb and goat butchering.  Grass-fed market meats are now available onsite.  
  Grand Central Home Furnishings is now open in a new location at Trader's Landing.   
  A new dog park is proposed at the Deep Creek Lions Club park along Bumblebee Road.  Fundraisers are underway and the 1st-year goal is for fencing and waste disposals.  A ground breaking ceremony will be held on May 16.
 Deep Creek Volunteer Fire Company expanded the fire hall on Rt. 219.  A Building Fund Campaign Drive is ongoing.  Donations can be sent to DCVFD, PO Box 419, McHenry, MD 21541.
