The Garrett County Fishing Contest, sponsored by Deep Creek Outfitters Hardware and Bait House and the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce runs from the first weekend in May through the first weekend in October. Fish must be caught in Garrett County.

Weekly winners are awarded a certificate, and plaques are awarded for the season’s largest catches of Bluegill, Brown Trout, Chain Pickerel, Crappie, Largemouth and Small mouth Bass, Northern Pike, Rainbow Trout, Walleye and Yellow Perch. To enter the contest, enter your catch at Deep Creek Outfitters Hardware and Bait House at 32 Outfitters Way, McHenry, MD. The fishing contest runs from the first weekend in May through the first weekend in October. Happy Fishing!!!
